And as this was their constant, their general Practise, so likewise in particular this Psalm (as a Reverend Divine of our Church in his Argument upon it observes) is universally thought to be a joyful Song compos'd by Ezra, or some such good man, wherein he celebrates the Jews happy deliverance out of Babylon, a City to which they were carried Captives for their Sins; |
