The Apostle having hinted in the first verse of this Chapter, that hee was a prisoner of Jesus Christ for the Ephesians, who were Gentiles; and having also upon that spoken something of the excellency of the Gospel, and the warrant which hee had to preach the same unto them (which two things were as two great supporters of him in his sufferings) hee comes in the fourteenth verse to pray for the Ephesians, that they might not faint at his tribulations.
