One, and the prime instance is, when we cannot help our selves by any natural means, where all the possibilities, which humane Providence can imagine, have failed us, therein to cast our burden upon the Lord, and to look for some extraordinary deliverance from his protection is a tentation of Faith, and not of Presumption. This Psalm xci. from whence Satan drew his Text to inveigle our Saviour, He shall give his Angels charge, &c. I say, this Psalm goes very far to strengthen my observation; |
