Several sermons preach'd on the whole eighth chapter of the Epistle to the Romans eighteen of which preach'd on the first, second, third, fourth verses are here published : wherein the saints exemption from condemnation, the mystical union, the spiritual life, the dominion of sin and the spirits agency in freeing from it, the law's inability to justifie and save, Christ's mission, eternal sonship, incarnation, his being an expiatory sacrifice, fulfilling the laws righteousness (which is imputed to believers) are opened, confirmed, vindicated, and applied / by Tho. In-Text 1. First Christ was God's Son. He was truly the Son of man but not only the Son of man, for he was also the Son of God; and he was as truly the latter as the former. In reference to his Humane Nature he is stiled the Seed of the Woman, the Seed of Abraham, the Son of David, the branch of the root of Jesse, the Son of man: in reference to his Divine Nature he is stiled the Son of God. This Relative Appellation or Title is so frequently apply'd to Christ, that if I should cite the several Texts where it occurs, I must transcribe a great part of the New Testament. 1.
