Several sermons preach'd on the whole eighth chapter of the Epistle to the Romans eighteen of which preach'd on the first, second, third, fourth verses are here published : wherein the saints exemption from condemnation, the mystical union, the spiritual life, the dominion of sin and the spirits agency in freeing from it, the law's inability to justifie and save, Christ's mission, eternal sonship, incarnation, his being an expiatory sacrifice, fulfilling the laws righteousness (which is imputed to believers) are opened, confirmed, vindicated, and applied / by Tho. Jacomb.

In-Text You may observe concerning this Evangelist St. John, as of all the other Evangelists he was most inspir'd in the revealing of Christ's divine Sonship, so he was also most inspir'd in the pressing of men to believe it and in the setting out of the weightiness of the belief of it: 1 Joh. 2.23. Whosoever denieth the Son the same hath not the Father, but he that acknowledgeth the Son, hath the Father also: 1 Joh. 4.15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God: 1 Joh. 5.5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? What a mighty stress did this great Apostle lay upon it!
