Not that the Saints see God ( i. e. the Divine Essence) with bodily eyes, (though Christ, who is God as well as Man, they shall so see, Job 19.26.) nor yet with the eye and faculty of the understanding (being finite) can they have a full, adequate, comprehensive sight or knowledge of the Infinite God as he is in himself: |
