Yet the lawfulness of War notwithstanding, there are three things chiefly which every Military man is bound in Conscience to have a careful Eye unto. 1. The Authority, by Vertue whereof he enters into the Field. 2. The End, to which he imployeth his Arms. 3. That Obedience and Fealty which he oweth to the Magistate, throughout the whole course of his Actions. |
