Besides, the Marriage of the Clergy was asserted by Paphnutius in the Council at Nice; and even by one of those Canons which the Romanists themselves do still avow for Apostolical. And the forbidding men to marry (with Saturninus, and the Gnosticks,) is worthily call'd by God's Apostle, The Doctrine of Devils, (1 Tim. 4. 1. 3.) as well as Cephas. And it's the Doctrine of that Apostle, that a Bishop may be an Husband, although he may not be the Husband of more then One Wife. (1 Tim. 3. 2. Tit. 1. 6.)
