In-Text but 'twas only for decreeing, that a Council was above the Pope, for which it ought to have been approv'd. And abating those things which consist not with the Haughtiness (but the just Dignity) of the Popes, It is as generally received as any other. Yet we need no better Argument to prove such a Council above a Pope, and the gross fallibility of both together, than an Historical Accompt of That one Council, as we find it set down by Pope Paul the fift. The Third at Constantinople, which is commonly reckoned the sixth General Council, was by the 14th at Toledo (Can. 7.) esteem'd the Fift.
