There are three men in the Scripture that have a speciall brand or marke of ignominy set upon them, Cain, Dathan, and Ahaz. The Lord set a mark upon Cain; Gen. 4.15. This is that Dathan, and this is that Ahaz, Num. 26.9. 2. Chron. 28.22. and if we examine the reasons, we shall finde that the sinne of stubbornnesse had a speciall hand in it.
