That of our Saviour is observeable, that though he was able enough at twelve yeares, yet he preached not till he was thirtie, by that perfect age (saith Gregory) implying the perfection of parts requisite to that function, being as S. What presumption is it then (saith the same Father) for men to be ambitious of being Shepheards, when they are scarce Sheepe? to bee Captaines when they are hardly Christs souldiers, to guide the Sterne, before they know how to handle the Ore? The Apostles were first Disciples before Doctors, Learners before Leaders.
