The children of Israel fell from the service of God to the service of Idols, God sells them that will not serve him to be slaves to their enemies, who vex and oppresse them full 18 yeares, (a long bondage,) this the condition of the people on the the other side of Iordan; and 'tis like to be as bad with those on this side the river;	I will hear from heaven and have mercy, I will pardon their sin, and heal their Land. 1 Chronicles 7.14.
