To this purpose, the Divines teach, That the Spiritual Powers of our Vnderstanding and VVill, being compared in the Exercise of Contemplation, and considered ex modo procedend, the Acts of the Will excell the Acts of the Vnderstanding; though the Vnderstanding, simply consider'd, taketh place of the VVill.
