Since the preaching of this Sermon our hope of agreement is much incouraged. On the 4 of Ianuary 1644. when the Arch bishop of Cant. was condemned, the Directory passed both Houses of Parliament, with the removall of Common Prayer book, Ceremonies &c. And on the 10 of Ian. when his head was taken off, the chiefe head of our Divisions in the Assembly about Excommunication was chopped off by Accommodation. |
