In-Text This we must of absolute necessity do, or else the Almighty will not hear our prayers for the peace of Jerusalem. It is infallibly true which we read in several places in Holy Writ; thus Prov. 28.9. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, he that hearkens not to the Lord his God and obeys not his laws, the prayer of that man is an abomination. Thus Psalm 66.18.
