We must, in our reflections on these things, change the signification of the word Righteousness, and instead of using it in the sense that imports strict Iustice, we must take it in the other that imports Mercy and Goodness; for who can reflect on these Two Fifths of November, without adoring the riches of God's Mercy and Goodness to us in them both? The former was in it self a great Deliverance,
