It is Faith, not the Faith whereby we believe, (though that merits our most vigorous contending) but the Faith which is believed by us, The Doctrine of the Gospel, 1 Tim. 4.1. 1. Observe, it is Faith we are to contend for, a matter of pure revelation, the eternal wisdom of God disclosed, a Doctrine given from heaven. The heathen could tell us.
