for lytyll yt shal avayle thus openly to preache vnto you, vnlsse ye vse the same in your housholdes, the whyche pryuat and domestycall instructyone I thynke so profytable and necessarye in chrystes churche, that wythout yt our open sermones though they be neuer so good and learneyd shall lytell synke or remane in younge mennes hartes, by reasone theyr myndes and senses be so wanderynge and set vpon tryffles ratheyr than to marke anye good thynge, suche thynges as be holsome and for ther soules healthe fewe of theme reygarde vnlesse they be broughte vp frome theyre youth in the feare of god. |
for little that shall avail thus openly to preach unto you, vnlsse you use the same in your Households, the which pryuat and domestical instructyone I think so profitable and necessary in Christ's Church, that without that our open Sermons though they be never so good and learneyd shall little sink or remane in young men's hearts, by reason their minds and Senses be so wandering and Set upon tryffles ratheyr than to mark any good thing, such things as be wholesome and for their Souls health few of theme reygarde unless they be brought up from their youth in the Fear of god. |
