The Glory of the former Temple had so dazled the eyes of the ancient men who had before beheld it in the beauty of it, that they could not now looke vpon this without watering eyes, They wept when they saw it, saith the Text. Against this discouragement it is, that the Lord goeth about by his Prophet to comfort the people in this Chapter, whereof the Text is a part. |
