In-Text This is plaine by sundry examples of old, as also by the moderne practice of the Grecians, Russians, and other Easterne Christians, who at this day in their Fasts abstaine from all flesh of fish: permitting it onely to those that are weake and sicke. Thus much Saint Gregorie told our English Austin above a thousand yeeres since, that the eating of fish is permitted to a Christian of indulgence; Vt hoc ei infirmitatis solacium, non luxuriae pariat incendium.
