Adam having first severed the Beasts from the Fowls, as being distinct in nature, among all the Beasts he seeing a Horse, he knew that God had made him for man to ride and trundle upon for his case and better speed, doth therefore at the first sight, according to the nature of him, give this name, which in 〈 ◊ 〉 signifieth a swift Runner. |
