that they seeing that sin (which was against God) was a losse of their glory, which is called bonum utile; and that instead thereof brought unto them nakednesse, shame and confusion, which was against bonum honestum, and also that it did cast them into that distresse and anguish of minde, that they could not tell what to doe or finde to cover their shame but figg leaves, which was against bonum jucundum; which opening of the eyes, comming from God was to this end, that, by seeing this, they might return to their own hearts. |
