The nature of the Soul of Man is finite, and so must the Faculties of it also be. One of these is the Understanding, which if it were infinite, could be no part of a finite Soul. It hath its bounds and sphere of Activity fixed to it, which if it exceeds, it cannot judge without danger of Error and Illusion. |
