In-Text For upon this account St. Stephen was accused of Blasphemy against Moses, and the Law, because he said that the Messiah should change the customs which Moses had delivered to them. This accusation before the Scribes, the Elders and High-Priest, was deemed sufficient to prove him guilty of that capital offence of Blasphemy.
