In-Text 1. To thankfulness, blessing God above all for Jesus Christ. He is called the gift of God, John. 4.10. and shall we not say as 2 Cor. 9.15. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift? Judah [ out of which tribe it is evident our Lord sprang, saith the Apostle Hebr. 7.14. ] signifies confession, praise, celebration, implying [ as some have observed ] that God is principally to be praised for Christ, who being the only begotten Son of God was the choisest love-token that ever was bestowed upod the sons of men. 1.
