For whereas earthly fathers impart unto their children essence, nourishment, education, and inheritance, the Father of spirits gives to his children his divine nature, 2 Pet. 1.4. he nourisheth us with the flesh and blood, the Word and Spirit of his Son. He instructs us and gives us the unction from the Holy One, whereby we know all things, 1 John 2.27.
