In-Text What injury is it then to God that his sacred Portion by Alienation and Profanation should be devour'd? What indignity is it to the Goodness of God, that this Right we have in things Sanctify'd, deriv'd from God for his Service, should be bought and sold? That that Right which is the Gift of God, the free and gracious Gift of God, given for the perpetual maintenance of the Gospel, should be obtain'd with Money? I doubt it doth taste of the gall of bitterness ( Acts 8.23.) And sometimes incurreth that Snare of Destruction there threatned, Pereat pecunia tua tecum. For even that Money doth seldom prosper.
