Note 0 Constantine the Great, when Hearing a Sermon, would ever and anon start out of his Chair of State, and Hearing, that the Gracious Soul only desires. Such an one comes not to Hear for the Sake of Man, but for the Sake of God, and of his Soul: He knows, 'tis God that Speaks, and not Man. Such Persons cannot Sleep at a Sermon, stand up for a while, being Affected, & (it may be) Terrifyed with the Word; inso-much, that his Courtiers were amazed; because such a Posture did not become so High a Place.
