So also St. Ambrose, l. 30. de Virginibus: Non immeritò Dominus in Evangelio jubet non esse jurandum, ne •it causa perjurii, ne sit necessitas delinquendi. And again, Tract. de hort ▪ ad Virg. prope finem. Non jurandum, inquit, facile, quia plerumque multi casus accidunt, ut non pomssius imple•e quod juraverimus.
