The last sermon and sayings of that most pious and reverend divine, Mr. John Oakes, minister of the gospel in the City of London who was struck with death in his pulpit, in the afternoon after he had preached this sermon; to the admiration of all his hearers. A subject of great account, worthy to be written in letters of gold. Being a thanksgiving sermon, for God's great goodness in delivering this nation from popery, slavery, and destruction, by that eminent instrument of God's glory, King William King of England. And having preached upon the first part of the text in the forenoon, of God's great deliverance of this kingdom from popery, &c. and coming to treat more fully in the afternoon, what it is to have our names written in heaven, God took him to himself, and gave him a full enjoyment thereof.
